Police are investigating a burglary which occurred at Stawell Transfer Station.

30 used car and truck batteries were stolen from a council shed at the transfer station.
The burglary occurred between 5.00pm on June 7 and 10.00am on June 8.
Stawell Police Sergeant Pete Young said he does not know what the stolen batteries will be used for.
“There was forced entry used to enter the shed,” he said.
“There was no video evidence taken and there were no finger prints or other evidence present at the transfer station.”
Sergeant Young said police don’t have a person of interest at this stage.
