A severe weather warning has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for parts of western Victoria including Ararat, the Grampians and Daylesford.
Winds averaging 60-70km/h are expected to hit the area this afternoon, with gusts of 110km/h even possible.
The coastal areas are expected to receive similar winds on Friday.
It is set to be a wet and chilly few days in the area, with temperatures expected to be 10 and 11 degrees at the weekend.
There is between a 80 and 90 per cent chance of rain today, tomorrow and Saturday so be sure to take those umbrellas with you.
Tuesday morning is expected to be even colder, with a minimum of 0 degrees tipped.
