It was an Ararat Car Club event, open to members along with a come and try event for car enthusiasts.
Clerk of the course Chris Harwood said it was exciting to see how the event was embraced.
“We have always been a club that has concentrated on the One Tree Hill club previously but recently we decided it would be a good idea to branch out into other areas of motorsport,” he said.
“Our expectation was we would all have fun, it is our first one so we thought there might be some teething issues but I do not think we had too many issues.”
The course was a slalom type track with a start and stop garage. There are plans to have another event later in the year with Harwood happy with the variety of vehicles the event attracted.
The club will host its annual One Tree Hill climb event next month.
