Ararat Basketball Association president Donna Dunmore said the hunt for coaches for the mens and ladies teams has started.
“We have got some coaches who are helping the Victorian team that have expressed some interest in getting involved,” she said.
“Getting a coach is hard enough is but if we can get some assistant coaches as well, we would not say no.”
The playing lists are already starting to take shape as well with preseason training to start in the coming months.
“Most of the girls have expressed interest for the new season already and all the boys plus a few extras are also on board,” Dunmore said.
The Redbacks may be shifted to the North West conference, pending other teams joining the South West competition.
The new season is scheduled to start on Saturday October 13.
