The Pyrenees Unearthed Food and Wine Festival brought busloads of visitors from Ballarat and beyond to the banks of the Avoca River on Saturday.
The region’s wineries and producers were ready to tempt with vintages, preserves and fresh food.
Organisers said the event attracted more than over 600 attendees on Saturday.
Wines by the glass were the order of the day, featuring local Pyrenees wineries such as Summerfield, Dalwhinnie, Amherst and St Ignatius.
Masterclasses provided attendees with the opportunity to learn and try on topics including Sparkling Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, European Styled Wines, Mulled Wine and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The regional foodd producers at the festival included Cafe Sidra — Cheese and Cider, The Forge — Wood Fired Pizza, Gypsy's Lunchbox — Burgers, Sliders and Loaded Fries, Not Just Spuds — Roast Spuds & Rolls, Pyrenees Premium Cuts — Gourmet Sausages and Smallgoods.
