McInnes has dedicated her time to both the senior and junior levels along with administration roles to help the competition run smoothly each year.
Association secretary Jo Read presented the award to McInnes at the end of the 2017-18 season and said her contribution to tennis in the region was impressive.
“Leesa has done a lot to contribute to the running of the adult competition,” she said.

“Particularly in more recent years being in charge of the by laws and the draw along with being the league delegate for Willaura for many years.”
McInnes was the association president in the 2013/14 season and assisted in other roles during her time involved also.
Read said McInnes’ passion for junior development was evident for all to see.
“The area that we have all seen Leesa demonstrate such passion and professionalism in our association, is with the junior tennis program,” she said.
“Her knowledge and encouragement of all age groups participating in the game is seen time and time again.
“Leesa ran the hot shots program here in Willaura for many years, which has been instrumental in the league continuing.
“Her focus on good sportsmanship is clearly evident and inspirational as she was instrumental in starting the junior tennis competition 10 years ago with teams from Willaura, Mininera, Tatyoon and Lake Bolac.”
The junior competition has now grown to have had 8 teams this season with teams from Moyston, Ararat, Willaura, Buangor and Tatyoon.
The life membership was presented at the association’s grand final where Skipton was able to knock off Mininera to win the 2017-18 title.
Skipton won all three sections to win comfortably 97 games to 32
It was a dominant performance from the Skipton team, not dropping a single set on the day to take out the senior title.
The team had a strong year and finished six points clear at the top of the ladder after the regular season and went into the season decider as favourites to claim the big victory.
Players will rest up over winter with the 2018-19 season set to start later in the year.
