The Allanvale Cup has returned to the Stawell Golf Club after their golfers wrested the cup back from the grasp of Chalambar in the annual Battle of the Divide during the week.

Best performers for Chalambar in the hot conditions were Helen Tucker with 33 points, followed by Marg Lardner with 31.
The week’s stableford winner was Theresa Gemmola whose 34 points, one better than Marg Brehaut on Saturday.
Nearest the pin was awarded to Lardner.
On Monday the ladies tackled the back nine holes with Sandra Brady coming out on top with 21 points.
Kimbra Christie, who is finding her way back into golf after a lengthy break, finished on 18 points to take runner-up honours.
Next week sees the start of the 2018 Club Championships. Players will be divided into A, B and C grades based on handicap.
Defending champions are Sharon Powell, Lyn Thomas and Maree Dalgleish respectively.
