Organisers were pleased with the large numbers who rode, ran and walked the Sandy Lane.
A strong southerly wind made the going tough, but lower temperatures than in previous years and a bit of sunshine provided some relief.
From its humble beginnings in 2003 as a challenge between the extended Joyce families, the event has developed into a widely supported community event and fundraiser for Beyondblue.
The ‘Pop Up Pub’ at the finish line at the Recreation Reserve provied refreshments for competitors.
The addition of live music, a Working Dog Jump Competition, and a free jumping castle made the day one for the whole family.
The meals provided by the Willaura Recreation Reserve Committee were much appreciated, and plenty of competitors and spectators alike stayed after the event to enjoy Willaura’s hospitality.
