Both Pomonal and Swifts-Great Western failed to take to the field before the February 11 deadline after the two teams failed to play their round seven match on January 6, after it was originally moved from December 23.
The association has ruled that with no game being played, the result will default to splitting the points after all games were abandoned on January 6 due to the extreme heat policy.
Association president Dave Turner said the result needed to be finalised before finals.
“The clubs were given the deadline of February 11 so that everything could be sorted before finals, but the game has not been played yet,” he said.
“So the points will be split between both teams.”
Combine currently sits clear at the top of the ladder by two points while Pomonal is out of finals contention.
