St Andrews won the toss and chose to bat first with Ben Boatman scoring 32 to get the team off to a quick start.
Ned Bohner chipped in with 36 down the order, leading the team to a total of 178 all out in 39 overs.
Brian Driscoll was the best of the Gapper bowlers, finishing with 4-20.
The Gappers’ run chase started poorly with a mix-up in the middle causing opener Josh Leith to be run out without scoring.
It would only get worse for the home team from there, as only two batsmen could score more than one run during the innings with Driscoll the only Gapper who could withstand the St Andrews onslaught, finishing with 14 not out.
Adam Haslett did the damage, finishing with 5-12.
