The Gappers suffered yet another loss at the weekend, going down to Tatyoon by 60 runs.
But the loss did not come without a highlight to remember for one young cricketer.
16-year-old Jackson Thomas picked up the first hat-trick of his career at the weekend which included the wicket of Tatyoon’s top scorer Jarrod Blandford on 77.
Thomas said it was a mix of emotions when he picked up the third consecutive wicket.
“I was pretty happy and surprised,” he said.
“On the hat-trick ball I was just trying to get it in the same spot and luckily it worked out for me.
“When I got the last wicket I just ran and celebrated.”
Thomas finished with figures of 3-33 from 8 overs.
