Investigators arrested a 15-year-old Ararat boy on Tuesday in relation to a fire on October 26 at the former Prestige Mill site at the corner of Lowe and Queen Streets, Ararat.
The youth received an official caution.
Police are appealing for public assistance and continue to investigate two suspicious fires which occurred in Ararat last month, including a house fire on Tuson Street, Ararat on 29 October about 7.15pm.
Police continue to investigate both incidents and are appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity if each incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
A third fire that occurred at an Ararat primary school, which had also been under investigation, has since been deemed non-suspicious.
Police were also called to an area behind Pyrenees Caravan Park on Wednesday following a grass fire.
