STUDENTS put their skills to the test at Horsham West Primary School’s talent competition on Friday.

The annual West Factor competition saw students put on a range of acts, from dancing and singing to comedy routines and musical numbers.

School’s Michelle Smith said the students did a great job.

“They kept going and pulled through, even if they made mistakes,” she said.

“We had guest judges come in, with school president Alisha Cameron, Horsham Arts Council president Simon Dandy, and Horsham PAWS’ Penny Stemp.”

Mrs Smith said the students showed a lot of confidence, getting up in front of others to perform.

“I don’t think most adults could do what they do,” she said.

The school has been running the annual talent competition for many years.

“The students will talk about it all year and plan what they will do all year,” Mrs Smith said.

The winner of the competition was Kai Dodson, who played drums using a bucket.
