Organisers have decided to hold the parade again since the re-emergence of participation at last year’s festival saw the number of floats double to 35.
This year the committee is hoping that figure might be exceeded and so increase the excitement and pleasure for the crowds.
The parade will follow a route from Edith Cavell Reserve, starting at 11.30am, down Barkly Street and Campbell Street to the showgrounds.
Organisers said as the festival and its associated parade have been taking place for 58 years, they had a strong desire to continue the tradition.
“Community pride and recognition is engendered and built on tradition and involvement,” a organising committee statement said.
“The parade helps in this endeavour by drawing crowds out to see who is showing pride in their organisation, club or business.”
