Wannon MP Dan Tehan and Infrastructure Minister Darren Chester announced the money on Thursday.
The Wimmera River Twin Bridges replacement project in Ararat Rural City received $750,000
The Porteous Road Bridge replacement in Central Goldfields Shire received $300,000
The Maryborough-St Arnaud Road culvert replacement project, to be completed by VicRoads, received $212,000.
Henty Creek Bridge in Glenelg Shire and Duncan’s Bridge Upgrade in Moyne Shire will be upgraded for $102,000 and $350,000 respectively.
Mr Tehan said he had worked closely with the community to identify key bridges for replacement and upgrade, with the improvement set to increase connectivity in the region.
“The upgrade and replacement of these bridges will improve driving conditions for residents and local truck drivers,” hes said.
Mr Chester said the Bridges Renewal program round three would deliver $162.53 million in funding across Australia.
“The renewal and upgrade of 186 bridges under this round will deliver social and economic benefits throughout regional Australia,” he said.
