It was an even performance from the home team with four players kicking at least three goals in the big 18.13.121 to 8.2.50 victory.
The Bulldogs hit the scoreboard early with the Lions unable to stem the flow on the scoreboard.
The home team finished the first quarter five goals to two ahead.
The second term was a tighter affair with the visitors able to stifle the Rovers’ scoring.
The Lions managed to put three goals on the scoreboard and win the quarter to take confidence into the main break, as they trailed by 15 points.
Whatever the Rovers coaches said at half time seemed to work, as the team came out and had their best quarter of the game.
The home team piled on six goals to one to put the game beyond doubt with a 50-point advantage at the final break.
The final term was much the same as the third with the Bulldogs dominating most of the play to finish comfortable winners in the round 12 match.
Rayne Salmon was the leading goalkicker for the Lions with two majors while Sam Munro and Billie Leskosek both put through four goals for the Bulldogs.
The best on ground honours went to Jake Fleming for the home team along with Great Western’s Nicholas Dunford.
The Rovers face Caramut in round 13 while Great Western will host Woorndoo-Mortlake in its next match.
