Steve O’Connell topped the A Grade standings by a single shot to win the stableford event at Chalambar Golf Club on Saturday.

Rob Harricks finished in second place with 39 points, equal to the B Grade winner Les Gason.
Cameron Lawrie scopped the runner-up position with 38 points.
Clyde Vearing, Ross Weeks, Mark Harris, O’Connell, Harricks, Tim Phillip and Gason all collected nearest the pin prizes from the round.
Gason also won the secret six holes prize.
It was a four-way tie with Harricks, Ian Tucker, Adam Tribe and Peter Kerber all scoring 39 points in the chicken run competition on Thursday.
Ken Hurnall picked up the nearest the pin on the 18th hole.
For those who have been keenly following Barry Faneco’s progress on the course, he did not feature in the trophies this week.
The club will host the Jim Kelly Memorial competition on Saturday.
It will be a three person aggregate stableford event.
Tee-off will be at noon while the usual chicken run round will be hosted on Thursday.
In the ladies division, Chalambar won the Allanvale Cup against Stawell on Wednesday.
Ruth Gellert was Ararat’s individual winner, ahead of Chris Dohnt and Therese Jess.
Alwyn Kitchen won the stableford event with 37 points on Saturday.
Stawell’s individual winner was Shirley Hetherington ahead of Leigh Johnston.
Gayle Dadswell picked up the nearest the pin awards on the sixth and 16th holes.
