Police urge vigilance after petty thefts hit Stawell

Police have warned Stawell residents to lock their cars and secure valuables after two thefts on Tuesday night.

Tools were stolen from the back of a ute on the same night two wallets and cash were taken from an unlocked car at Stawell.

Senior Constable Nathaniel Warren said both vehicles had their doors unlocked and valuables unsecured.

“We need to get the message out, doors must be locked and all valuables must be locked away or taken with you when you leave the vehicle,” he said.
