The game was close right the way through with the Tigers able to develop a small lead late in the game to finish 32 goals to 29 winners.
Coach Zanetta Hosking said it was a tough four quarter game.
“Woorndoo-Mortlake really took it up to us,” she said.
“We probably played around with the ball too much in the attacking end trying to find the right option.”
Hosking said she told the team after the game not to be too disappointed.
“They have played fantastic for the whole year,” she said.
“They have trained so hard this year so they should be really proud.
“We were training two nights a week in the lead up to the finals.”
Hosking said the defensive pair stood up under immense pressure.
“Our defenders were great,” she said.
“We have done a lot of work with them over the year regarding intercepts and rebounds.
“It really paid off today with how they played.”
