In division one Aradale hosted Stawell Golf and honours were shared, with both teams winning two rinks each.
However, it was Stawell Golf that came out in front by five shots on the day, with Bruce Blenheim's team best for Stawell Golf winning by seven shots.
In other games Lake Bolac greeted Landsborough and in a tight finish Lake Bolac came out on top by six shots, winning two rinks each.
The best team for Lake Bolac was the team skippered by Ian Park winning by 15 shots.
In the heavy weight clash between Ararat and Chalambar - both teams have been regular finalists over the past few seasons - it was Chalambar that prevailed by 17 shots, with Richard Harricks' team up by 15 shots on their rink.
In the last game in division one Stawell played VRI and struggled to match it with the locals, going down by 50 shots over all. The evergreen Chas Olive was the best winning rink by 35 shots.
In division two Chalambar rolled out another win, with all three rinks defeating the Landsborough teams that featured only three players due to availability.
Willaura lost out to Stawell Golf by 13 shots, with Len Hunter's team performing well to win by 17 shots.
VRI had the closest finish to the round, sneaking in by two shots. Stan McDonald's rink finished up by 13 shots.
Stawell Golf Blue won one rink, but still managed to get across the line against Lake Bolac, mainly thanks to Brian Hurley's team winning by 24 shots, and in the last game of the round Aradale defeated Stawell, with Darrell Evans' team winning by 10 shots.
