We are in for a beautiful weekend of weather, kicking off today with a fine and sunny day and a top of 20 degrees. Saturday and Sunday will also be mostly sunning and reach tops in the high teens, with the chance of late showers Sunday evening.

The Ice Bucket Challenge continues, with The Nationals candidate for Ripon, Scott Turner taking up Greg Kerr's nomination today at 4.15pm at Gasons.
Ararat 800 Primary School is staging the locally penned Send in the Clowns this week at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre, with closing night tonight from 7.30pm. You can purchase your tickets by clicking HERE. Adults $15 and children $5.

Plenty of footy and netball action locally this weekend, with Lake Bolac hosting second semi final matches tomorrow in the Mininera and District Football League and Willaura the venue on Sunday for the first semi finals.
The 15th annual Bendigo Bank Setsplay Classic Pairs tournament is also on over the weekend at the Ararat Bowls Club with more than 100 bowlers taking part.
On Sunday Elmhurst Playgroup will celebrate its 30th birthday with an open day for all families at the Mechanics Institute from 10am to 2pm.
