The fun run will be held on Saturday, October 25.
The event will be officially timed, and will consist of a 12km run, 6km run/walk and children's events ranging from 400m-1200m for children aged three to 12 years.
The event will start at Richardson Oval and will go through picturesque McDonald Park, finishing back at the oval.
A family fun day will also be held at the oval, while events are running with a barbecue, children's activities and market stalls.
The children at St Andrews kinder have been doing a lot of learning activities about living a happy, healthy and active lifestyle, and the importance of eating nutritious 'Go Go' foods to fuel their bodies, and learning why some foods should be consumed only 'sometimes'.
The kinder has been working on keeping bodies fit and healthy and promoting physical activity every day for the children.
The fun run is seen as a way to get children interested in being active and enjoying the outdoors.
This will not only be a fantastic event for all at St Andrews kindergarten, but also for the entire community, and organisers are providing opportunity for every age to get involved in.
With so much emphasis on healthy living in the Ararat community St Andrews hopes to get support from everyone who can participate.
