The Careers Expo will be held at Wimmera Events Centre in Longerenong and will be open, free of charge, from 9.30am until 2pm.
Expo chairperson, Chris Wallis, said the Western Victorian Careers Expo has grown to become the premier Careers Expo in western Victoria, bringing together general exhibitors, interactive industry experiences - Try-A-Trade sites - and an extensive seminar program.
"The Expo will allow people to talk face to face with exhibitors, get involved in hands-on activities, listen to expert advice and gather vital information about the possibilities and processes involved in a large array of career options," Mr Wallis said.
"We invite people to head to our website to check out the extensive exhibitor list and programs for the day."
The Water Police Squad, Protective Services Officers (PSO), Highway Patrol and Crime Scene officers will join the Victoria Police site at this year's Careers Expo.
Mr Wallis said the Victoria Police display is a great example of the type of resources being made available to people at the Careers Expo.
"Anyone in the community who has considered becoming a Police Officer or PSO should make the time to come out to Longerenong and catch up with staff at the Victoria Police site," he said.
"It's a great chance to speak with members about the job and what's involved."
Mr Wallis said another highlight of the Expo will be a display and two presentations (10.30am and 12 noon) by ABC TV Zoologist Chris Humfrey and team members from Wild Action 'The Zoo Comes To You!'.
"You may have seen Chris in his hit television series 'Chris Humfrey's Wildlife!'," he said.
"The wildlife industry is often tricky to break into and Chris will be happy to share with attendees how he started his career in wildlife and how he learnt so much about animals.
"Attendees will have the chance to touch and hold some iconic native Australians and learn about their fascinating ecology and captive husbandry.
"Together with his team of tertiary trained zoologists and teachers, Chris will be bringing along a wonderful variety of live Australian animals, including a koala, fairy penguins, pythons and salt-water crocodiles, as well as some other wild surprises.
"We look forward to seeing many people from across the region take advantage of having such a comprehensive array of careers information available to them in one place."
