What’s on around Ararat today:
The very first Ararat Boot Camp Weekend, hosted by The Biggest Loser’s trainer Shannan Ponton gets underway today. Richardson Oval is hosting the bootcamp which is expected to attract not only locals but tourists and fans of The Biggest Loser who are keen to see where this season all started. The camp will run through to Monday.
What’s on around Ararat this weekend:
Saturday – Pop down to the Salvos Shop Saturday, open till lunchtime, with all proceeds from any item sold going to the Campaign for Jacob which aims to help local boy Jacob Warrior-Day, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
Sunday – Will also see a fundraising effort for Campaign for Jacob, this time at the monthly Trash n Treasure market at Alexandra Hall. Head down from 9am-1pm and pick up a bargain while contributing to a worthy cause.

Entries are rolling in for the soon to be launched program, which will see eight participants teamed up with a personal trainer and one of The Biggest Loser contestants as a mentor, with the aim of improving their lifestyle.
