Ararat College, in conjunction with the Central Grampians LLEN Engage Program, is pleased to offer an open invitation to any parent from any school within the region who would like to hear more about Sue Anderson's new approach to helping children who are being bullied.

Working as a life coach, Sue has been working for six years with children who have been affected by bullying.

She has a unique insight into how children and teenagers experience bullying and has worked with hundreds of primary and secondary school aged children affected by bullying, including those being bullied, bullies, teachers and parents.

Her new book 'Unbullyable" was written in response to parents who would often ring her asking for advice on how to help their bullied children.

She said the title of the book, Unbullyable, was a word that didn't exist, something she hopes to change with the advice in her book.

"It is a made-up word, my goal is to get it in the dictionary," she said.

"The more we use it, the more likely that is to happen."

Mrs Anderson is an ambassador for Brodie's Law (the Victorian Anti Bullying legislation), a board member for the not-for-profit anti-bullying organisation Angel's Goal, and has a weekly segment on radio station Ballarat's 3BA.

Ararat College coordinator Ellie McDougall said the information session will be beneficial for both parents and their children.

"It is a great opportunity for any parent who is concerned about bullying or would like to hear about a step by step approach to support their children to attend," she said.

Refreshments will be provided for the evening, as will the opportunity to purchase Sue Anderson's book "Unbullyable.'
