The Ararat rail yard has been the target of another graffiti spree which has resulted in about $1,000 damage to one of its V/Line train carriages.
The latest act of vandalism is believed to have occurred some time between 9.30pm on Thursday, February 6 and 6am the following morning (Friday, February 7).
Unknown offenders have entered a restricted zone by cutting their way through barbed wire fencing before spraying their stylised wording (more commonly known as tags) on a V/Line passenger carriage.
The wilful act of damage is the most recent in a long line of incidents involving the illegal entry and damage to the Ararat rail yards.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the acts of graffiti or anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the incident to come forward.
