ARARAT - Ararat Police are seeking anyone who may have information regarding an assault in the Ararat CBD last weekend.

A 17-year-old man was walking along Barkly Street at approximately 4am on Sunday, January 5 when he was set upon.
Constable Trevor Stephenson at the Ararat Police Station said the victim was assaulted and had his Apple iPhone and wallet stolen.
"The male was conveyed to the Ararat Hospital via ambulance with lacerations to his mouth and two chipped teeth," he said.
Police are looking to identify the occupants of a vehicle seen in the area at the time of the incident.
The car has been described as a red Holden Commodore VS model, with three males on board.
