Police welfare check surprises bushwalker

FOR many bushwalkers, personal safety is always front of mind. Whether walking in groups, sticking to marked tracks or bringing along a four-legged companion, looking out for one another is an important part of enjoying the outdoors. For local bushwalker Lauren Siantis, a recent encounter with police provided an unexpected reminder that someone else was looking out for her too.
