Perfect in Pink
LEXTON Football Netball Club held an inaugural event recently with the staging of the club's first Pink Ladies Day.

Many of the junior mums, other ladies from the club and the wider community, dressed with a touch of pink and gathered to enjoy the afternoon in the social rooms.
The senior football coach invited the 'pink guests' into the home team change rooms before the main game and acknowledged the contribution the ladies make to the club.
Splashes of pink dawned the sidelines as the guests gave their support to the netballers and footballers taking on the opposing Carisbrook teams.
Later in the day, former AFL premiership player Sally Riley joined in with the days events as a guest speaker after her game of netball.
Sally began playing football as a junior and for many years was the only female player in her team.
When the AFL women's competition began she was selected to play with Adelaide AFLW and was successful that year as a premiership player.
Sally spoke about her early days of football and how it directed her through to her senior AFLW career.
Lexton FN Club appreciated the generosity of donors who allowed the ladies to enjoy door prizes, bingo tasks and lucky number drawers throughout the day.
The inaugural event was a great success and will certainly be one for the future.
