Myles takes to The Floor
ELMHURST local, Myles Keith, has recently appeared on the Channel 9 television game show “The Floor”.

The show is self-promoted as a “gripping game of wits and endurance, combining intense strategy, high-stakes trivia, and edge- of-your-seat suspense, that every family member can play at home”.
Myles appeared in the sixth episode of the new series which premiered on 28th April, hosted by actor Rodger Corser.
81 Aussies, each with their own area of expert knowledge, duel it out to conquer the floor with a chance to win the $200,000 grand prize.
“It all began probably two years ago when I randomly applied for a game show which pushed physical limits,” 24-year-old Myles recounted.
Never idle, he thought he would give it a go, but the production never went ahead.
Unbeknown, his name remained on the books and he received a surprise call-up from Eureka Productions casting headquarters in Sydney about a year later.
“I was shown a preview of the American Floor series, did all the necessary checks, sat down with them for two zoom introductory calls then was offered an all-expenses-paid trip to the Netherlands for the filming,” he said.
“It’s not the normal country bloke thing to do, but I was excited to participate.”
The nine episodes of the series were filmed in September 2024, and Myles made lots of friends amongst the other contestants.
Not fazed that he didn’t win the competition, or a consolation $10,000 prize, he was thrilled with the experience of just doing it.
“The opportunity was amazing, we were treated to free travel, nice hotels, chauffeured around, did two episodes each day, and enjoyed each other’s company,” he said.
There was a friendly rivalry between the group, and he is still in touch with people he met.
A fitter and turner by trade, and operating his own mobile welding and engineering business, Myles was a suitable choice for the “Transport” category of questions, although he did not get the chance to challenge them.
When asked if he was disappointed by this he laughed.
“I was happy that I didn’t lose my own category, but I was ultimately stitched-up when contesting confectionery! Some people have asked why we were being silly and jumping about on stage, it wasn’t acting, we were just having such good fun, it’s that exciting,” he said.
Myles has a TikTok account and other social media outlets and has been overwhelmed by the support he has been shown during his entertainment debut. So, maybe we will see him in future projects.
Meanwhile he is back on the family farm at Glenlogie, helping his brother Hamish and parents Jon and Sarah to demolish and reconstruct 22 kilometres of burnt-out fencing caused by the Bayindeen bushfire last year.
One million viewers are tuning in to “The Floor” in Australia. Eureka Productions deliver popular franchises like Farmer wants a Wife, The Amazing Race, Australian Idol, and The Mole.
