Mighty train returning to the region
ONE of Australia’s most magnificent travel experiences is set to include our region in its itinerary this summer, bringing with it the awe-inspiring sight of a majestic 700-metre long passenger train pulling into town for a quick stop as it traverses four states. The Great Southern journeys between Adelaide and Brisbane, showcasing some of Australia’s most spectacular inland and coastal scenery and stopping along the way for guests to embark on memorable off-train experiencies. In a massive coup for The Grampians, The Great Southern will include a stop in Stawell for the sixth time, with passengers embarking on the Adelaide to Brisbane journey spending several hours taking in some the local sights.

Journey Beyond team members visited The Grampians last week preparing for this summer's arrival of The Great Southern, from left: Operations co-ordinatorJuliet Nguyen, guest experience manager Katie Moularadellis, general manager Harshad Sakhalkar and fleet manager Bob Degnan, along with Justine Hide from Experience the Grampians.
