Major fundraising drive to deliver vital mammography unit

A local fundraising organisation has embarked on its most ambitious project yet which will benefit hundreds of local residents. The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation Ararat Branch has its sights set on a new mammography unit for the Ararat Hospital is what is its largest fundraising project in the organisation’s 23 year history. The Ararat Branch signed a memorandum of understanding with East Grampians Health Service this week to raise $250,000 towards the purchase of the vital equipment, which will cost in total $296,000. Additional funds will be provided by East Grampians Health Service.
