Senior Policy Officer

Your new company
A short term assignment for a capable Senior Policy Officer to join a State Government organisation based in Sydney Olympic park.

Your new role
In your role as a Senior Policy Officer, you will manage and coordinate the development and implementation of policy initiatives to support the objectives of the organization. This will include addressing current and emerging issues in resilience and disaster management while providing expert policy advice to relevant stakeholders to support decision making. You will be required to lead and participate in quantitative and qualitative research to identify such emerging issues while providing evidence-based solutions to mitigate risk.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience. It will be beneficial to have a knowledge of the working ways of the Government and parliamentary processes. You will have excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills. An ability and willingness to travel within NSW to support other roles during disasters and emergencies required.

What you'll get in return
This role provides a chance for you to assist in State Government until early August 2022. Your dedication will be remunerated at $62-$68 per hour plus super with hybrid working arrangements.
