Senior Accountant

Your new company

Operating for over 30 years, our client is a small to medium sized accounting firm offering taxation, business services and succession planning to clients across a range of industries including construction, legal and medical practitioners and entrepreneurs.

Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced senior accountant to support the growing business. Reporting to the Director, you will support the team in the running of day to day financial operations through ensuring functions such as tax compliance and budgeting are managed with due diligence.

Your duties will consist of:

• Preparing Financial statements including BAS, IAS, Div 7A and CGT
• Preparing Tax returns for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships and Trusts
• Liaising with external parties on behalf of the clients (ATO, SRO, Financial advisors etc)
• Assist on projects (including research cases, income tax and GST rulings)
• Auditing of self-managed superannuation funds (advantage)

What you'll need to succeed

• CA/CPA qualified
• 4-6 years experience in a public practice accounting firm
• Proficiency with accounting software including MYOB AE/APS and Xero.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
