This is your opportunity to join carsales on a 12-month fixed term contract in the role of Performance Marketing Manager.  In this role, you will be responsible for owning and driving our performance marketing program, end to end, across all carsales products and services, through our primary performance channels – paid search and Facebook.  You will manage, implement, optimise and regularly report back to key stakeholders on performance against business targets. 

This is a hands-on role, looking after the end-to-end management of performance marketing campaigns across all major digital channels and platforms. You will work closely with other digital marketing experts and the broader marketing team to explore new growth opportunities across our brand and product portfolio, and be responsible for delivering and reporting marketing and business KPIs. Working in a fast-paced environment, your attention to detail in campaign management and reporting will serve you well, as well as a sense of curiosity and eagerness to further develop and grow the performance marketing program.

Job Description

What you will be doing

  • Develop, execute and manage cross-channel performance marketing plans across key digital marketing platforms, such as Google Ads, Search Ads 360 and Facebook Ads Manager, ensuring KPIs are in line with business and campaign objectives.
  • End-to-end management of our Paid Search and Facebook Ads Manager campaigns across all brands, product and services portfolio. Conduct and circulate regular performance reporting against business KPIs to regular stakeholders, and taking these insights and learnings and applying a process of continuous optimisation to the campaigns.
  • Utilise respective digital platforms, looking at and understanding performance, and looking for actionable insights that you can then apply to respective campaigns.
  • Working closely with our SEO team to identify and implement opportunities for efficiency across our organic and paid search activity.
  • Collaborate with the broader digital team and the marketing team to extend campaigns into digital channels.
  • Track, Optimize, Learn, Report, Repeat will be your daily mantra with commercial opportunities and ROI your nirvana.
  • As the digital performance native and expert in the business you will share learnings and campaigns with key stakeholders and not be afraid to question the norms to drive business results.
  • You will conduct regular research and stay abreast of current industry trends to ensure the campaigns are at industry leading standards - reporting back to the wider marketing team on relevant insights that can complement other marketing initiatives.


What we’re looking for

  • Advanced knowledge and hands on experience in paid search, across platforms such as Google Ads, Search Ads 360, and Google Merchant Centre.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands on experience within the Facebook Business Manager suite, including Ads Manager, Events Manager, and Commerce Manager.
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience of all other major digital channels and platforms: Google Display Network, and programmatic marketing platforms such as DV360.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and experience in strategizing and implementing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Data driven, with the ability to report, analyse and tell a story with data.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with Google Analytics.
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and report back on performance in a timely manner.
