The Moyston Easter Market lived up to its reputations as one of the regions great drawcards with over 1500 people attending last weekend.

The annual market offered something for everyone with dozens of stalls and many activities including the Long Kick and the Giant Pumpkin competition.

Market co-ordinator Nicole Humphrey told the Advocate the day went off without a hitch.

“There might have been a few less people around but we recon there were 1500 to 2000 people visiting, maybe a few less with the rain,” she said.

Ms Humphrey said the market helps out a lot of different community groups.

“Some of our clubs have stalls. The Primary School have a bake sale. The CFA have their wood raffle and our local football club have the community barbeque. We also use the market to showcase other local activities,” she said.

“Any of the gold coin donations are committed to a project around town and this year we raised $1200 towards a new vehicle for the CFA,” she said.

“The other thing we are really considerate about is our stall holders and making it a great experience for them as well. They love that we take into consideration where they would like (their stall) to be. The feedback we’ve got so far is they were really happy. They love the way we are really accommodating and friendly and many of them have already got the market on their calendar for next year,” she said.
