Community groups come together
REPRESENTATIVES from across a range of community groups congregated Tuesday evening in Stawell to acknowledge each other’s remarkable work and make new connections.
The Northern Grampians Shire Council event at North Park focussed on highlighting achievements of community groups who have successfully secured Council grants, with guest speakers from several groups sharing their project journeys, outcomes, and lessons learned, helping to inspire others and raise awareness of community-led initiatives.
One of Council’s primary goals for the Community Celebration event was to foster connections and create opportunities for community groups, local leaders, and stakeholders to connect, exchange ideas, and explore future partnerships.
Positive feedback flowed from the 32 guests after the event, with a number of attendees walking away inspired by the information and stories shared throughout the evening.
Council also hosted a St Arnaud Community Celebration in the Tony Driscoll room at Lord Nelson Park, which attracted a great turnout of 28 guests.
