After winning the toss and batting, Avoca were bowled out for 136, their lowest total of the season batting first. Eyan Habib was sensational, scoring 59 runs, which featured eight boundaries. James Collicoat (17), Brad Palmer (10), Cameron Holland (10) and Liam McLinden (10) all scored double figures as the Bulldogs were bowled out in the 31st over.

Defending a small total, James Collicoat got the Bulldogs off to a great start, dismissing Sebastian Borg for two. Brad Palmer then took two quick wickets, and MKM were 3/48.

With opener Nathan Leist at the crease, he and Jarrod Nedelkovski amassed a partnership of 73 runs, and despite two late wickets, MKM chased the total down in 32 overs, finishing at 5/141.
