Attacking fires from the sky

With summer just around the corner and the memories of last year’s Grampians fires still fresh in his mind, veteran aerial firefighter Peter Rohan and a crew based at Stawell Aerodrome is preparing for whatever nature throws his way. Mr Rohan is Victorian Operations Manager for aerial fire fighting specialists Pay’s, who recently set up shop in Stawell to establish a primary Victorian hub for its aircraft and crew members.

With summer just around the corner and the memories of last year’s Grampians fires still fresh in his mind, veteran aerial firefighter Peter Rohan and a crew based at Stawell Aerodrome is preparing for whatever nature throws his way.

Mr Rohan is Victorian Operations Manager for aerial fire fighting specialists Pay’s, who recently set up shop in Stawell to establish a primary Victorian hub for its aircraft and crew members.
