1996 premiership Crows return home (Free Read)
Beaufort Football Netball Club is hosting its annual past players day tomorrow against Buninyong, highlighted by the 30-year anniversary of the senior footballers' premiership win over Dunnstown.

If one week is a long time in football, then 30 years must seem like an eternity. That’s how long it’s been since Beaufort won the 1996 CHFL premiership, defeating Dunnstown for the second year in a row.
Players, staff, and supporters from the victorious team will be a feature at this year’s annual Past Players and Life Members day at the Goldfields Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
Members of the team are traveling from as far as Albury, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast, so a big turnout is guaranteed as the Crows take on old foes Buninyong.
The day is a great opportunity to catch up with old teammates from every era and support the current Crows representing the town.
A BBQ lunch and Hangi dinner have been organised, and the bar will be open as usual.
It’s a full day of netball, football, and catching up with old teammates, so get there early.
