Over several weeks, the group of year nine students attended presentations by East Grampians Health Service, Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre, Gorst Rural, Wimmera Proactive Policing Unit and Pearse Shearing, facilitated by CGLLEN.
CGLLEN Partnerships and Pathways Coordinator, Nerissa Gee, said the School-Employer Engagement sessions were designed to introduce students to industries they may not have considered previously.

"The sessions help the students build their knowledge of career opportunities in each industry and provide them with details on the skills and qualifications they need to work in that field," Ms Gee said.
"The presentations from the employers were so informative and we were really impressed with the way the students engaged in the program. We even had some work experience enquiries come out of it which is fantastic."
Earlier this year, CGLLEN facilitated the School-Employer Engagement Program at Skene Street Specialist School in Stawell.
The program will continue in 2022. Any employers wishing to get involved are encouraged to contact Nerissa at CGLLEN on 0417 589 973 for more information.
