The Ararat Y's Men Club has come to the decision to cancel the annual Carols by Candlelight for the second straight year.

2021 will only be the second time in the past 28 years the Ararat Y's Men Club run Carols by Candlelight has been forced to cancel.
Event organiser Joe Perry said the Ararat Y's Men Club was saddened to come to the decision.
"We are very disappointed we are not going to be able to run it," he said.
"Hopefully we will be back bigger and better than ever next year."

Perry said it was going to be too difficult to run the event in the current climate.
"Due to COVID-19 restrictions that we need, which we didn't need in the past there is no opportunity to fund it," he said.
"We have had no time at all to organise anything.
"If we would have organised an event in the time left to us, it would be a very half-hearted event .
"That was the last thing the town needed."
The evening usually attracts large numbers to Alexandra Gardens with traditional carols being sung by residents and music being played by the Ararat City Band.
