The SMW Rovers have continued their busy off-season, finalising their football and netball coaches ahead of 2022.

The senior side had an inconsistent year in 2021, finishing 10th on the Mininera ladder with only three wins.
The club's A Grade netball side finished in fourth position with seven wins from 11 matches.

Rovers Football Operations manager Tony Liston confirmed Kal Young would coach the seniors and his assistant would be David Box.
"Kal (Young) signs on for his 3rd year in the role, after two COVID-19 interrupted seasons," he said.
"David (Box) is going to take up a bit more of a role this year.
"He is keen to do a bit more this year.
"He has got really good football knowledge and has coached before in the Central Highlands."
Liston said Andy Jos and Brad Scott would coach the reserves again.
"In an interrupted year, Butch (Brad Scott) and Andy (Jos) had a successful season," he said.
"Unfortunately, the season was cancelled before the finals campaign.
"Both men are loyal and passionate clubmen and will be striving for more success in the upcoming season."

Liston said after a lean couple of seasons, the Rovers "expect to play finals".
"We are happy with the way things are going," he said.
"We always expect to play finals," if you don't there is no point in playing.
"We have retained our players from this year and we thought we were starting to show signs of where we would like to be.
"Hopefully we will top up and recruit a couple more to strengthen what we already have.
"It has been too long since our senior side has played finals, we are having a decent crack at it and hopefully we can go deep."

Rovers Netball Operations manager Amelia Dunn confirmed the netball coaches for next season.
"A Grade will be Courtney Guy, the same coach we had this year," she said.
"B Grade will be Courtney Guy and Kylie Box.
"C Grade is Matthew McLeod, he coached B Grade this year."
Dunn said the club is hopeful of an uninterrupted season in 2022.
"We are really looking forward to next season due to the fact that this was such an uneasy season," she said.
"We have been recruiting pretty hard and have retained most of our players."
Dunn said the netball program would begin at the end of January 2022.
"We are looking forward to having a really strong preseason," she said.
"We will make sure the girls and team are quite strong before the season starts."
