Hosted by gallery staff member Grant Thomas, the popular craft session will see budding artists create a handprint tree decoration for the festive season.
Ararat Rural City mayor Cr Armstrong said it will be fantastic to see young ones return to the gallery to explore their creativity, especially in time for Christmas.
"The Gallery offers a fantastic program of interactive workshops and exhibits that helps young people engage in the arts," she said.
"The craft workshops are not about teaching children to make a particular object, rather to inspire them to be creative and explore a range of materials and techniques during the story and art session.
"We're excited to welcome back families to the Gallery for a fun start to the holiday season with the Mini Makers program."
MORE NEWS:
Mini Makers host Grant Thomas said the sessions are a whole lot of fun, educational and entertaining for the children.
"I'll start off the workshops with a popular song 'Zoom zoom zoom, we're going to the moon' that I wrote originally for the Library's Storytime, followed by a picture book which will be Christmas themed," he said.
"Children will have the opportunity to decorate their unique tree decoration with absolutely anything they choose.
"At the end, they have something they can be proud of and share with their family.

"I get the opportunity to dress up in colourful clothing and guide young ones in exploring their creativity- it's terrific; I think it's important for young ones to have a male role model present these programs to them too."
Mini Makers is free, and there is no need to book.
