The six recruits are in addition to Liam Cavanagh and Matt Hutchesson, which were announced last month.
Ararat president David Hosking said the club was "pretty excited" with the newest acquisitions to the club.
"We thought we already had a pretty good list and now we have added some real talent," he said.
"The area where we wanted to particularly strengthen was our midfield and one key defensive post and we reckon we have done that.
"We are looking forward to a big 2022."

Hosking revealed the club had signed former VFL footballer Ben Christodolou.
Christodolou has represented the SFNL and WRFL in interleague matches and has most recently played for Sunshine in the WRFL and Keilor in the EDFL.
"He is originally from Mildura and he has also played for Williamstown in the VFL and was also at Sunshine with the other boys (Cavanagh, Hutchesson).
Hosking said former Jake Robinson would also be returning to the club.
"Jake is a former TAC Cup player for the North Ballarat Rebel and he is returning to the club which is great for us," he said.
MORE NEWS:
Hosking said a former club captain and Toohey medalist has signed on for next season.
"Allan Batchelor will be returning to the club as well, which will definitely help leadership wise next season," he said.
The Rats have also regained two players from the Mininera League.
"We have got Jacob Bates and Aaron Pianta joining us for next season," Hosking said.
"They are returning to the club from Moyston-Willaura and they are both former Ararat senior players."

Hosking said new recruit Liam Cavanagh will assume a coaching role with the club.
"Liam is coming on board as a player and as a line coach of our backline," he said.
"He has got a cv as long as your arm."
MORE NEWS:
Before playing for the Box Hill Hawks in 2016-17 Cavanagh won Ararat's best first year player award and was a two time senior Wimmera representative.
The previously announced Matt Hutchesson was a two-time winner of Sunshine's best and fairest (2016,2018) and was selected in the WRFL team of the year in 2016.
"Having those two boys join us on top of the names I just mentioned is really exciting," Hosking said.
"Matt's brother Lachy Hutchesson has indicated that he will play for us too.
"He has had a year off but is ready to go."
