'Between a Rock and a Vast Space' is a paintings exhibition of Australia's parks created by Dunolly artist, Val Wilkinson.
The exhibition is the culmination of Ms Wilkinson's journey of 10 years and 124,531 kilometres as she has explored, photographed and painted over 600 of them after visiting the parks in her radically modified 60-Series Landcruiser.

"Many of the most iconic parks are very remote. Access tracks can be badly corrugated, impassible when wet, and a long way from roadside assist even if there was a phone signal which often there was not," she said.
However, Ms Wilkinson said the hardest to reach parks provided her the most inspiring subject matter to paint and photograph.
With many images and paintings to choose from, she narrowed down her selection for this exhibition to the subject matter that awed and inspired her.
The exhibition will be on display at the Raillery Hub Gallery, located in the historic railway station in Queen's Avenue, St Arnaud.
The venue is open Friday to Sunday 11.00am - 4.00pm. Entry is free with the exhibition running from November 12, 2021 until January 30, 2022.
