The exhibition is the main attraction for the Pyrenees Arts Council each year. The Pyrenees Arts Council has been committed to assisting local artists or craftsmen to further their interest in the arts and to promote theatrical or artistic performance since 1995.
Organising committee member Anne Beer said the group was "extremely disappointed" when making the decision.
"After much deliberation, and with the message from the Premier on Wednesday that these restrictions will remain in place until the end of September, there was no alternative but to take this decision, regrettable though it is," she said.
"We are extremely disappointed."

The organising committee of the Community Bank Beaufort Pyrenees Art Exhibition hopes to run the exhibition June 2022.
"Hopefully, if we reach our vaccination targets and lockdowns become a thing of the past, we will be assured of having a successful Pyrenees Art Exhibition over the Queen's Birthday weekend 11, 12, 13 June 2022," Mrs Beer said.
