Grampians Community Health and the Our Community, Our Families committee met to discuss the uncertainty of COVID restrictions and the likelihood of the games going ahead, with the decision being made to postpone the event.
The Over 40 Football Netball Games were set to take place on Sunday August 8 and feature ex-footballers and netballers from across the region and beyond.
The matches began in 2018 as a standalone game called 'Healthy Blokes', raising money and awareness for men's mental health.
However, this year's theme, Our Community, Our Families, intended to raise support and awareness parents or grandparents with drug-affected youth.
The organising committee thanked the community for the support shown for the games, and said in a statement they hoped everyone would be able to participate in the rescheduled event next year.
