Committee members are looking forward to welcoming our many supporters from across regional Victoria and interstate to the 2018 eisteddfod which will commence on Saturday September 22 in the newly renovated and upgraded facility.
The annual eisteddfod had grown over recent years to become one of the largest events on the Ararat calendar and the committee are optimistic that dance competitors and their families will return to Ararat in September for the competition; and will once again provide an important economic boost to the local community.
The committee met recently to commence organising the 2018 eisteddfod.
One its first tasks is to make contact with our many wonderful sponsors. Over the coming weeks representatives from the Eisteddfod committee will be making contact with individuals, community groups and businesses seeking their support by way of donations; because without the generous support of these sponsors the eisteddfod could not remain viable.
The Ararat Eisteddfod also acknowledges the generous support from the Ararat Rural City Council and Creative Victoria, via grants which contribute to the hire of the facility and adjudicator expenses respectively.
