All the students and teachers picked grapes from 9:30 until 2pm with two breaks for morning tea and lunch. The group managed to fill three tubs which were approximately 350 kilograms per tub and then filled the schools tub last which was approx 500kg, all within that time frame.
For 2018, the group is focussing on rejuvenating the school farm.
As a part of this project group members have been doing many things including cleaning up the vineyard, farm and wine and bee sheds.
Students have sourced and brought wine making equipment.
Work started in early February with students beginning to organise tools and equipment.
Each Thursday, group members head out to the school farm to clean up and fix anything that’s needed.
Simon Clayfield from Clayfield Wines in Moyston has donated his time to share his knowledge.
